The clients for Thorn Hill Vineyards (who live in Pennsylvania) were enamored by Northern California and wanted to create their dream of a Tasting Room, Winery, Residence and Vineyard.
After many discussions it was decided that the project was to be broken down into 4 stages. Stage 1 as shown is the residential portion of the project with new stages scheduled for 2012 and 2013.
In keeping with a natural setting and within the envelope of a vineyard (to be established) the style chosen was an eclectic “Tuscan” structure reflecting the many wineries of the area.
Originally a horse barn, the client was in need of a weekend living quarters as well as an office. The challenge then was to re-model an existing building that had been used for livestock and convert it to a suitable conditioned structure.
Beginning with a vacant lot and working closely with the client, Scott Bennett and Kevin Peters the Hardester’s project combined several structures in one setting that provided office space as well as retail and a coffee kiosk.

Updating and upgrading commercial storefronts is one of our most important civic functions. With several projects already completed the Lakeport facilities is one of latest endeavors. With the minimum of construction work the illustration shows simple add-ons to update an older structure.
The design parameters for the “Ceago Casitas” project was to be based on the design theme previously established for the Ceago Del Lago Winery facilities located at Clear Lake, California.
Having worked closely with the client on the winery project earlier we clearly understood what the owners vision was for guest housing facilities on the property. It was with the owners input and design sensibility that produced a project that was not only cost effective but in keeping with the entire design concept.
